Keep it simple…..

Truth be told, I can’t for the life of me remember where I first learned this…

All I know is that from time immemorial, this life lesson has been engraved on my heart and I apply it to almost everything I do.

Once upon a time, it was presented to me in the form of a series of related questions, which I will now try to present to you.

I hope I don’t butcher this……

Okay, so here goes…..

Question #1: How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

Correct answer: Open the refrigerator, put the giraffe in, then close the refrigerator door!

I know right! It really is that simple! LOL.

  • Can you believe it! No folding. No chopping and no mutilating the poor giraffe! Well that’s sorta, kinda not true, BUT the point is that, no one asked you for the gory details…… It was a simple question that required a simple answer!

Okay, next question…..remember this is a series of related questions

Question #2: How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Let me guess, you’re probably thinking…open the refrigerator door, stick the elephant in, then close the refrigerator, right?

Wrong!

Correct answer: Open the refrigerator, first take out the giraffe, then put the elephant in and close the refrigerator door!

There are a actually a few more questions in this series, but I won’t continue because I was merely trying to establish a point.

The point?

Life is stressful, I get that! Especially lately……

But we need to find a way to lighten up!

We need to stop overthinking everything and scaring ourselves to death in the process.

Everything is not that complicated!

We must try to keep things simple….

Maybe then, we just might find our joy, …..or at least some of it!

Just something to think about……

In the meantime….

A penny for your thoughts please?

  1. My motto is, “Life doesn’t have to be so complicated”, and now I finally have the missing piece. Keep it simple!
